The power part mainly includes electric motors, electrical control boxes, and operating elements.


2. Transmission mechanism


(1) Transmission system The transmission mechanism of the sock machine is based on the knitting procedure of the sock, and transmits the motion to the cylinder and the control mechanism. The transmission mechanism of the single cylinder round sock machine is as follows.


The main shaft is divided into two sections: main shaft I and main shaft II. The main shaft I is equipped with a rocker handle 1, an active belt reel 2, a slow speed reel 4 and a gear 8 with a fast speed. The slow-speed belt reel is fixed to the main shaft l through the square pin of the rocking handle, the gear 8 is also fixedly integrated with the main shaft I, and the active belt reel and the fast-speed reel (connected to the outer casing simple gear 5) are all loosely sleeved on the main shaft on. When the transmission belt is successively on the belt pulleys 2, 3, 4, the needle cylinders are in the stopped, slow rotation, and fast rotation states, respectively.


The clutch 9 is connected to the main shaft II through a crescent key, and can move left and right along the main shaft II. The sector gear is equipped with two large and small support plates 15 and 16, which respectively support the push plate 2 and the sprocket 4 (see Figure 3-4), thereby driving the control mechanism of the hosiery machine.


There is a gear 17 at the lower part of the pinion gear 14, which is used to drive the rubber band conveying device. A cam 19 is fixed on the inner side of the circular chain gear 13 on the main shaft II, and it drives the thread adjusting roller through the tie rod, which is used to change the yarn guide when the knitting bar is wiped.


(2) Calculation of transmission speed ratio


When knitting different sections of socks, the rotation speed and running direction of the cylinder need to be changed. The movement of the syringe includes four forms: one-way fast, one-way slow, reciprocating fast and reciprocating slow.
