What Is A Computer Knitting Machine?

Knitting machine is a kind of double needle plate tongue needle weft knitting loom. Its triangle device is like a set of plane cams. The pin of the knitting needle can enter the groove of the cam, move the triangle, force the needle to make regular lifting movement in the needle slot of the needle plate, and the yarn can be woven into knitted fabric through the action of needle hook and needle tongue. 


During the rising process of the knitting needle, the coil gradually exits the needle hook, opens the needle tongue, and exits the needle tongue and hangs on the needle rod; during the process of lowering, the needle hook the yarn put in the new pad, and pulls it to form a coil. Meanwhile, the original coil is pulled out of the needle hook. The new coil passes through the old coil and is connected with the old coil in series. Many knitting coil strings are connected to form knitted fabric.


1. Ring forming process

The knitting process of the knitting needle of the horizontal machine calls the yarn into the process of forming a loop. The process can be divided into 8 stages: unwinding, sizing, yarn with, closing, ferrule, de coiling, forming and pulling.

(1) Retraction

Unwinding is to move the old coil in the needle hook to the needle bar to prepare for the new yarn to be placed.

During the process of unwinding, the needle rises from the lowest point to the highest point, and the needle is in the stage of retracting. After the loop is withdrawn, the needle tongue is scraped off by the coil.

(2) Padded yarn

Yarn cushion is to put yarn on the needle tongue. After the winding is finished, the knitting needle begins to drop. Due to the matching action of the yarn feeding mechanism, the yarn is placed under the needle hook under the guidance of the yarn guide, and is placed under the needle hook through the yarn mouth, and the needle tongue is above, so that when the knitting needle continues to drop, the needle hook can reliably hook the yarn.

(3) Yarn

Yarn is the process of leading the yarn under the needle hook to the needle hook. This process is done by the fabric falling.

(4) Shut up

Closing is to close the needle opening, so that the old coil of the new yarn is separated by the needle tongue. After the yarn without yarn process is finished, the yarn is correctly hooked by the needle, and the knitting needle continues to drop. The old coil falling on the needle rod slides along the needle rod to the needle head and moves to the bottom of the needle tongue. Because of the function of the old coil, the needle tongue starts to rotate around the needle tongue axis. When the needle drops again, the needle tongue rotates to cover the needle hook to close the needle mouth.

(5) Ferrule

The process of ferrule is from the old line to the closed needle tongue, and then it is moved to the needle hook along the closed needle tongue.

(6) De lap

The coil is the process of the coil falling off the needle. When the loop is completed, the knitting needle falls along the triangle working surface, and hook the yarn put in the new pad through the old coil, while the old coil is also pulled out from the needle due to the pulling force.

(7) Circle

The work in the loop stage is to hook the yarn that is put in the new pad through the old coil after the old coil is pulled out of the needle, and the knitting needle then drops to pull the yarn into a new coil.


2. Cycle collection process


The collecting coil is one of the basic coil structures of knitted fabric. It is a kind of organization which combines the old coil and the old coil together.

Two methods are used to make the ring structure on the horizontal machine, one is non - deponding method and the other is non - withdrawal method.

(1) No ring off method

The method of no de - ring is to push one or two pressing needle trigonometric angles of the transverse machine to a certain height. When the head drives the triangle to run, the knitting needle rises to the highest point, and then drops to the closing stage, and it will not drop again. After the coil closes the needle tongue, it is hung on the needle rod, and the needle hooks the yarn newly placed.

When the machine head runs the next horizontal fabric in reverse direction, the knitting needle can rise to the top or drop to the lowest point under the action of triangle. After the new yarn forms the suspension arc and loop, it is combined with the old coil hanging on the needle rod to form a ring collecting.

(2) No loop method

The ring formed by non - retreat method is also called fat flower tissue, which can only be woven on the flat machine of fat flower.

The second stage of the horizontal machine can form parallel collecting circle, and the third stage of the horizontal machine can form a cross set circle.


Parallel loop: the second stage fat flower horizontal machine has an active tappet triangle, and the needle plate is arranged with high and low pin. When the machine head is running knitting, the tappet triangle exits the height of the low pin. The high pin can be tapped and continues to rise to the back loop. The low pin can only rise to the top of the needle triangle, and it is still moving on the upper plane of the crosssection triangle, then descend. After the coil opens the needle tongue, it is hung on the needle tongue without backing. 


The needle hook can hook the yarn newly placed at the same time.

When the machine head weaves the next horizontal fabric, the exit tappet triangle returns to its original position. The old coil hanging on the low foot needle tongue and the newly formed yarn suspension arc are withdrawn together to form a ring. Because this kind of collecting ring is only formed on the low foot needle, the woven ring organization is arranged parallel on the clothing sheet, so it is called parallel ring or secondary fat flower.


Cross circle: there are two movable tappet triangle of three-stage fat flower horizontal machine, and high foot needle, low pin and high foot long tongue needle are arranged on the needle plate.

When the upper and lower tappet triangle exit the low pin height together, the parallel ring structure is woven. When the upper tappet triangle exits the working position separately, the knitting needle rises to the lower tappet triangle position. Because the needle tongue of long tongue is longer, the coil is hung on the needle tongue after opening the needle tongue, and the coil is hung on the needle tongue without withdrawing the ring. After the yarn is padded, the old and new coils are assembled to form a collecting ring. Therefore, the ring is formed on the low foot needle and long tongue needle. The woven ring organization is staggered on the clothing sheet, so it is called the cross set circle, also known as the intersection mesh fat flower and the third grade fat flower.
